Private Tour Guide Cambodia

 I was born in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I’m passionate about making new friendships and sharing Cambodia’s rich history, eco-tourism, and incredible historical sites with travelers from around the world.

I speak both English and French and have been a Cambodian-certified tour guide for over 10 years, recognized by the Cambodian government. Throughout my career, I have organized tours for both small and large groups across Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, Battambang, Phnom Penh and beyond, working with travelers from all over the world.

My Journey to Becoming a Tour Guide Cambodia

Before becoming a tour guide, I worked with Caring for Cambodia, a nonprofit organization that supports education and life skills development in local communities. During this time, I built strong relationships with families and international volunteers from Singapore and the USA. Thanks to this opportunity, I received a scholarship to study at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree after six years of study.

After working with the nonprofit for six years, I decided to pursue my passion for tourism. I passed the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism’s official exam and became a freelance English-speaking tour guide in 2016. Since then, I have gained positive reviews on TripAdvisor, Viator, ToursByLocals, GetYourGuide, Google, and more. I have also worked with local tour companies such as About Asia, Cambodia Wonder, and Mekong Exotic, as well as prestigious 5-star hotels. Additionally, I have organized 7 to 20-day tours for international travel agencies and French-speaking travelers.

My Experience Beyond Tourism

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I moved to Phnom Penh and worked as a graphic designer. A year later, I became a certified Online advertiser for business to promote Cambodian education through Private Company, E-School Cambodia. This experience deepened my understanding of digital marketing, a skill I now use to help my fellow tour guides optimize their online presence.

After the pandemic, I returned to Siem Reap to continue my freelance tour guide career while also managing my own tour businesses, Private Angkor Wat Tour and Rain Angkor Tour.

My Family Story

My personal journey has shaped who I am today. My father passed away during the Khmer Rouge regime while serving as a soldier. My mother single-handedly raised five children—four brothers and one sister. Due to financial hardships, my siblings had to leave school early and work in Thailand as construction workers.

I was the only one who insisted on continuing my education, convincing my mother to send me to Siem Reap city alone to attend high school. To support myself, I worked in hotels and NGOs until I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship from Caring for Cambodia. Through hard work, I earned my bachelor’s degree and achieved an IELTS score of 6.5 at the Australian Education Center.
